The Nudist Naturist Festival at Empire Haven Nudist Park:
Join YNA at the annual Northeast Naturist Festival at Empire Haven Nudist Park! This 6-day festival will take place July 28 – August 2nd, 2015 in Moravia, NY.
The festival is all about community, fun and personal growth. Naturists from all over the U.S. come together as a community to share skills, knowledge, ideas and discussion.
Every day is filled with a myriad of workshops and activities based around:
• body acceptance
• the arts (photography, drawing, body painting)
• healing & energy work
• yoga & meditation
• drum circles
• sweat lodge
• hiking and skinny dipping at Potter’s Falls
• activities for kids (arts & crafts, sports, games)
• And much more!

Our YNA Workshops:
- Friday, 1:30pm: Felicity will be doing a workshop on DIY body care. (How to make your own deodorant, moisturizer, bug spray, toothpaste and more.)
- Saturday at 1:30pm: Steve & Susanne Messmer of YNA Upstate NY have a workshop on positively engaging religious opponents of nudism.
- Saturday 3:30 – 5pm: How to make cheese at home with Steve & Susanne.
- Sunday at 1:30pm: Jordan and Felicity will be presenting a workshop on naturism and online marketing.
This is a family-friendly event with children’s activities scheduled every day. Click here to see a 2015 list of all the daily activities for kids. There is always a group of families with young children that attend every year, and the festival is free for kids (18 and under). Empire Haven also has a playground and lots of space to run around free in nature!
Cost: There is a flat registration fee of $50 per person (or $40 for TNS members) for everyone who attends the festival. The exception is if you attend on Sunday only, the fee is $15.
Then the grounds fees are $18 / day (Grounds fees are waived for those who do workshops, see more info below). Children 18 and under are free.
You can arrive and pay at the gate or register and pay beforehand using this form. If you plan to buy meals, it’s best to buy them in advance to ensure there will be enough food.
Food: A catering service provides 3 meals a day, buffet style. Click here to see the daily menu. There are vegetarian options at every meal. You can purchase meals with your registration or buy meal tickets at the office upon arrival (advance purchase is recommended). Or you can bring in your own food. On Saturday night we will also be hosting a BBQ party for YNA’ers! Please email us if you plan to join – ynaevents [at[ gmail.com, and we’d like for everyone to bring a snack or side dish to share. This will be happening at Steve & Susanne’s (of YNA Upstate NY) trailer site.
Accommodations: There are large fields for camping with bathhouses nearby. Campsites are $15 / night with electric / water hook-up, or $12 / night without. There are unlimited campsites without hook-ups. Empire Haven also has some rental trailers, and some sleeping-only rentals may still be available. There is a 5 night minimum. Contact them ASAP to inquire about rentals: empirehaven [at[ msn.com or their office number is 315-497-0135 (M – Th 9am – 5pm | Fri 9am – 7pm | Sat 8am – 7pm, and Sun 8am – 5pm.)
The April deadline for workshop leaders has passed, however you can still contact Morley if you’d like to do a workshop to see if it can be added to the schedule.
Workshop leaders get a day’s grounds fees (usually $18 / day) waived for every workshop they organize. Anyone can lead a workshop or discussion in their area of expertise. To get more of an idea of what kind of workshops / activities people organize, check out the schedule above.
How to sign up: Contact Morley Schloss at morleynaturist [at[ hotmail.com ASAP with the following information:
1) The title(s) of your workshop(s)
2) A one sentence description of each workshop
3) The time length of each workshop if more than 55 minutes is needed
4) Any special needs for your workshop(s)
5) The days you will be available to lead workshops, hopefully the entire duration of the festival
6) Any types of workshops or activities against which you don’t wish to be scheduled
7) Your postal and email addresses and phone number
Vendors: Space is available for vendor booths. The fee is $50 (or $25 for members of TNS or Empire Haven). The festival registration fee ($40 – $50, see above) also applies to vendors. There are typically a few vendors / booths present at the festival, offering massage, selling sarongs / clothing, jewelry, knick-knacks and other goods.
About Empire Haven: Empire Haven is a 97 acre nudist park in the scenic Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. At the festival you can also enjoy their facilities which include an outdoor pool, two hot tubs, sauna, clubhouse, nature trails and more. Nudity is required to use the pool, hot tubs or sauna.
