Join YNA at Sunny Rest’s Opening Weekend May 17-19
YNA is having a meetup at Sunny Rest Resort on their first weekend of the season!
Come shed your winter clothes, start on your tan, partake in a nature walk, relax with some naked yoga, enjoy a massage in the meadows, have a drink at the bar, tell stories around the campfire at night, enjoy some good food, discover new friends, and make memories that last.
Sunny Rest has lovely heated pools, hot tub, restaurant, fitness center, tennis courts, volleyball, and many other amenities. They often have live music by the pool and a vibrant atmosphere that will keep you entertained! The band “TbaGg & the Creamers” will be playing poolside on Saturday from 1 to 4pm.
There will be a yoga class by Phyllis on Saturday at 11am and Zumba (cardio / dance) class on Sunday from 9:30-10:30am. (Fitness classes are free.)
This weekend will also be the grand opening of Sunny Rest’s remodeled night club and sports bar! To celebrate, everyone is invited to a wine and cheese social on Saturday night from 9:30 to 10:30pm in the nightclub.

This will be early on in the season, and we’re hoping to have awesome weather, but please be prepared with appropriate clothing and sleeping gear to stay warm.
Rates are 50% off for rooms, camping and day visits, plus you receive a 25% off coupon for the weekend after Memorial Day. Sunny Rest has a young adult discount, so for those 18-35, the cost of camping (including grounds fees) is only $51+tax per person or couple/family for the weekend! Click here to see more info on SR rates.
For camping with a tent, you do not need to make a reservation. Look for the YNA flag & campsite C18 to find YNA people and if you need any help. In camping areas F & E, water and 120v electricity is nearby, so bring an extension cord and/or power strip to hook up to it.
*Update on rooms: the rooms are now full, and there is a wait list. Call 610-377-2911 (Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm) to get on the wait list, or to reserve for RV camping. The closest hotel is the Comfort Inn & Suites, but we’ve gotten word that they are all booked up due to another event in the area. The next best one is the Hampton Inn on Interchange Road, phone number: (610) 377-3400.
Food: Sunny Rest has a restaurant on the grounds open 8am – 10pm. Prices are reasonable, and a variety of food is served – salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes, seafood, etc. You can also bring your own food, along with a cooler or portable grill if you like.
- Sunny Rest is about a 2.5 hour drive from NYC and northern NJ depending on where you live. We have set up a page on a ride-sharing website for people to organize rides and carpooling together from wherever you’re located.
- Also, there is a bus from NYC to Lehighton, PA via Susquehanna Trailways. Call the sunny rest office ahead of time to schedule a pickup at the bus station which is only 5 min away. Sunny Rest Office: 610-377-2911
There is no YNA registration for this meetup, so just show up! You can also RSVP on Facebook.
Hope to see you there!
