Pashut Festival at Desert Ashram, Israel
May 21, 2015 @ 8:00 am - May 24, 2015 @ 5:00 pm$80
Naturist Pashut Festival in the Negev desert, Israel
Join us at the annual Pashut Festival for naturists and free-spirited souls at Desert Ashram in Israel! It’s a 4-day event May 21 – 24, 2015.
This festival started only 2 or 3 years ago, and we are told it’s attended by 400 – 500 people! It’s known to have a Burning Man vibe, with naturists, artists, spiritual seekers, and all types of people coming together from various communities.
Its name, “Pashut,” is a Hebrew word that means “simple, complicated or unaffected” as an adjective, and as a verb means “to take off.”
The festival is about creating a space of love, celebration, meditation and healing. There will be 4 days of workshops and activities, and the full program will be released closer to the date.
A festival ticket covers entry, all workshops / activities and camping (with toilets and hot showers). Desert Ashram also has a limited number of dormitory and private rooms.
Food: The ashram is a vegetarian place and does not serve or allow meat / fish on premises. You can buy meals there or bring your own (vegetarian-only) food.
Getting there: Desert Ashram looks to be about a 2.5 – 3 hour drive from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, and it’s 85km north of Eilat. For public transportation, there’s Bus no. 392 which stops at “Shitim-Branch” right near the ashram. See more info on the website.
Note about gender balance: In order to have an equal gender ratio, Pashut requires that men and women register together.
For more information visit the Pashut Festival page on the Desert Ashram website.
