*~ More Info About The Naturist Festival ~*
Location: The festival takes place at a 97 acre nudist park called Empire Haven, located in the scenic Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. In additional to festival workshops / activities, you can also enjoy their facilities which include an outdoor heated pool, two hot tubs, sauna, clubhouse, nature trail, volleyball court, children’s playground and more. Nudity is required to use the pool, hot tubs or sauna. Otherwise the grounds are clothing-optional. Learn more at www.empirehaven.net.
Who Attends?: Everyone is welcome to attend this festival, whether you’re a single, couple or family. This is an inclusive environment (Just like a naturist place should be!). Men, women, transgender people and all genders are welcome (as always at YNA events). Most of the facilities are wheelchair accessible. This is also a great event for families and kids with children’s activities scheduled every day. (Minors must be accompanied by a parent / legal guardian – inquire with Empire Haven for more info on their policies.)
Festival Registration: There is an online registration form available via the Empire Haven website. You can complete this form and email it (empirehaven (at) msn.com) or mail it to Empire Haven. Advance registration is especially recommended if you are buying meals, to ensure there will be enough food. Or you can register and pay upon arrival.
Cost: There is a festival registration fee of $50 per person (or $40 for TNS members) for everyone who attends 2 or more days of the festival. If you are attending for just 1 day, the fee is $25.
Then the grounds fees for Empire Haven are $18 / day. (Grounds fees are waived for those who do workshops, see more info above.)
On Tuesday (1st day of the festival) after 5pm, the grounds fee is just $5.
*Children 18 and under are free.
< >Camping is $15 / night with electric and water hook-up or $12 / night without.
Food: A catering service provides 3 meals / day, buffet style. The daily menus will be posted on the Empire Haven website. There are vegetarian options at every meal. You can purchase meals with your registration or buy meal tickets at the office upon arrival (advance purchase is recommended). Or you can bring in your own food.
Overnight Accommodations: There are large fields for camping with bathhouses nearby and some campsites have water / electric hook-ups ($15 / night). There are unlimited campsites without hook-ups ($12 / night). Empire Haven also has some rental trailers, and some sleeping-only rentals. There is a 5 night minimum. Contact them ASAP to inquire about rentals: empirehaven [at[ msn.com or reach them by phone after May 15th (their opening day) at 315-497-0135 (M – Th 9am – 5pm | Fri 9am – 7pm | Sat 8am – 7pm, and Sun 8am – 5pm.)
Wi-Fi: Because of the club’s remote location, cell reception is spotty, and limited Wi-Fi is available for $12 per device with a satellite connection. BUT most of the time, the WiFi doesn’t work, so it’s really not worth the money. We recommend planning for limited cell service / internet and taking care of your important Internet needs at home.
Cameras / Photography: Privacy is and must always be respected when it comes to photography. There are always a few official photographers for the festival who document the event for Nude & Natural (TNS) Magazine and festival promotions. You will sign photography forms at the office upon arrival, and all festival photographers must ask your permission before taking your photo. The club asks that personal photography be confined to your campsite / rental.
Vendors: Space is available for vendor booths. The fee is $50 (or $25 for members of TNS or Empire Haven). The festival registration fee also applies to vendors. Vendors need to apply and pay in advance, using the online vendor form. There are typically a few vendors / booths present at the festival, offering massage, selling sarongs / clothing, jewelry, knick-knacks and other goods.
